Dr. Jeremy Cheah

FOUNDER/DIRECTOR

Dr Jeremy Cheah is the founder of Straits Dental Group.

A graduate of the National University of Singapore, Dr Cheah has honed his dental expertise in aesthetic dentistry such as implants, veneers, crowns and braces. He is also a certified Invisalign provider.

Over the years, Dr Cheah has ventured into Facial Aesthetics such as Botox, Fillers, Skinboosters and HIFU treatment. He believes that the key to having a beautiful smile, involves having to transform the entire face.

Aside from being a leading dental surgeon in Singapore, Dr Cheah is passionate about giving back to the local community, through pro bono dental treatment and charitable work.

Dr Cheah enjoys going on the foodie trail in his free time, from ethnic hole-in-the-wall to trendy see-and-be-seen foodie hot-spots.

Dr. Samuel Loh

DENTAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Samuel Loh earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Melbourne with exceptional honors. As an undergraduate, he demonstrated remarkable clinical skills, professionalism, and a strong work ethic, consistently displaying a dedication to self-learning. His outstanding academic achievements culminated in him being the top student in his graduating cohort.

Dr. Loh's impressive academic record was recognized with several prestigious awards, including the John Iliffe Scholarship Prize, the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Academic Prize, the Australian Dental Association Prize for Best Student, and a place on the Faculty's Dean's Honours List. Additionally, he was part of a research group that won the Australian Dental Association VB/eviDent Foundation Research Prize in 2015.

He is deeply committed to a patient-centred approach, prioritizing active listening, respect, and patient involvement in their care. Following graduation, he joined a multi-disciplinary team at a private hospital, where he received numerous commendations from patients for his compassionate and skilled care.

He has also been heavily involved in continuous education, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry and aesthetic procedures. He is certified to perform a range of aesthetic treatments, including Botox and skin boosters, ensuring his patients receive the most effective and safe care.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Loh is an accomplished athlete, having been part of the Gold Medal National Men's Water Polo team in the 25th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Laos. In his free time, he enjoys road cycling and playing water polo, reflecting his dedication to discipline and excellence in all aspects of his life.

Dr. Casey Chew

DENTIST

Dr Casey Chew is a graduate of the University of Dundee in Scotland. Throughout his undergraduate years, Dr Chew’s drive for academic success led to multiple distinctions including being awarded the William MacKenzie 2nd Prize for his elective studies in Japan. Dr Chew also developed his passion for dentistry through outreach programmes, which allowed him to treat a wide range of patients and hone his craft.

Dr Chew is a certified Invisalign provider. He strives to establish good rapport with patients; and believes in providing them with the best dental experience and knowledge to bring about a positive change in their dental health and confidence after each visit.

Work aside, Dr Chew keeps an active lifestyle. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, badminton, ultimate frisbee, and improving his culinary skills by trying new recipes. He is currently learning Japanese.

Dr Thira Wong

DENTIST

A graduate of the University of Melbourne, Dr Thira’s area of expertise is in preventive and restorative dental care.

She enjoys interacting and listening to patients’ concerns, and is always eager to provide the most comfortable experience. The gentle dentist believes that beautiful smiles and healthy teeth go hand in hand.

In her leisure time, Dr. Thira loves to spend time with her 3 dogs, and is always looking for new places to explore with them! When at home, the avid baker likes to bake different types of bread and cheese cakes.

Dr Gareth Wong

DENTIST

Dr. Gareth Wong graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from King’s College, London. During his undergraduate years, he developed his clinical and interpersonal skills in major dental hospitals in London (Guy’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital, and St. Thomas’ Hospital).

Dr. Wong believes in trusted personal relationships with his patients, by addressing their concerns and sharing the decision-making for customised care plans. Dr. Wong is a certified Invisalign provider. He is passionate about motivating patients to develop effective oral health habits through education and care.

Outside of work, Dr. Wong is an avid powerlifter who competes in local and international competitions. In his free time, he enjoys movies, music and playing volleyball.

Amin

DENTAL HYGIENIST

Amin graduated as a Dental Hygienist after obtaining his Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2013. Over the years, Amin’s outstanding quality of work and meticulous attention to patient care, has earned him plenty of praise from patients young and old.

Amin prides himself on having the most compassion and winning over even the most apprehensive patients. His greatest asset is his ability to empathise with each patient, and ensure that they have the most comfortable dental experience possible.

Outside of work, Amin loves to spend quality time with his family. He is also a motorcycle enthusiast.
